Assist the United States Team in the Archives and Area Support Division of the Church History Department in collecting Church history. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in history or library/archival science. We are looking for a motivated energetic and organized individual to join our team!
This paid internship is anticipated to last one year (12 months). This is a part-time (28 hours per week) hourly non-exempt position. The candidate must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from (within the last 12 months) an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
Intern will learn and be exposed to:
Archival research records processing and acquiring new records
Supporting and training volunteers locally or virtually who are part of the Church History Departments worldwide documentation program
Bachelors degree (or senior looking to graduate within 6 months) with a background in history international studies anthropology religious studies humanities or a related field
Self-motivated and dependable
Strong collaborative skills and effective communication
Cultural humility
High degree of organizational skills including scheduling and managing multiple projects
High proficiency in Microsoft 365
Experience with primary source research
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
