Carriage Place our beautiful memory care community located in Prineville OR is actively recruiting for a Part-Time Maintenance Team Member. This position reports directly to the Administrator and fills a crucial role within the community by coordinating facility maintenance and upkeep. You will be expected to perform general maintenance functions such as routine plumbing and electrical repair changing light bulbs and repairing damaged furniture in order to keep our facility safe and orderly for our wonderful residents.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate maintenance and upkeep with Administrator/Office Manager;
- Be alert and active in supporting facilitys commitment to safe practices infection control and respect for residents rights;
- Perform general maintenance functions including routine plumbing repair routine electrical repair changing of light bulbs and tubes repair damaged furniture and fixtures etc.;
- Respond promptly to staff and resident requests for assistance relating to maintenance;
- Be observant for conditions or practices relating to the physical plant and maintenance equipment which are unsafe and could cause injury to anyone on the premises. Take appropriate action to correct them;
- Coordinate projects in an organized and prioritized manner;
- Provide or coordinate routine grounds maintenance as needed;
- Assure that all safety equipment is in proper working order at all times;
- Provide carpentry work surface repair painting as needed;
- Assist in planning large projects by meeting with contractors to:
- Explain project and get bids
- Oversight of contractor through completion of job

Requirements:
- Must have a current food handlers license
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Previous experience as a busboy washer waiter cook or relevant work experience is preferred
- Must be physically able to stand and move during the length of shift bend and kneel through shift; and lift up to 35 pounds or more routinely
