Description

The Patient Registration Float Pool Team is responsible for providing excellent customer service throughout Inova Health System by identifying and fulfilling customer and departmental needs. Provides world-class service to patients by filling vacancies within clinical departments. Travels to various hospitals and outpatient practices within the Alexandria Loudoun Mount Vernon Fair Oaks and Fairfax areas as required.

Patient Registration Float Job Responsibilities;

  • Supports scheduling undertakings by conducting pre-service activities such as insurance verification and submission.
  • Troubleshoots individual admission issues in collaboration with other departments and/or team members.
  • Explains insurance benefits and patient liability by using appropriate communication methods/styles.
  • Identifies and communicates payroll authorization and referral requirements.
  • Manages assigned work queues to ensure that errors are corrected.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience:2 years of healthcare patient access experience or 2 years of customer service
