Grade UE06: 34132 - 40497 per annum pro rata

CAHSS / School of Social and Political Science

Part-time: 7 hours per week

Fixed-term: 28 months (1st September 2025 - 31st December 2027)

The Opportunity:

You will support anthropological research into single-use medical devices and sustainable alternatives in healthcare; assist with the organisation and outputs of project workshops and other events; maintain bibliographic reference managers for the project to contribute to the preparation of project publications and online resources.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Appropriate undergraduate degree in humanities or social science. Current matriculated anthropology postgraduate research student at the University of Edinburgh.
  • Experience in undertaking research and analysis on circular economy.
  • Demonstrated interest in anthropology of healthcare sustainability.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills including time management and communication about progress and challenges in work
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly orally and in writing to a range of different groups
