The Lower School Team works collaboratively to teach foundational literacies and build hands-on inquiry/project-based experiences for students. Each grade-level team is led by a Head of Grade and works with a Learning Coach to meet the needs of each individual student. Leveraging tools and resources such as visible thinking routines off-campus expeditions mindfulness/SEL internal/external experts and a team of connectors (Maker Performing Arts Physical Educator Science Spanish Visual Arts) the Lower School team is able to activate agency and imagination for our learners who are ready to make an impact today!
As our Maker Arts & Design Team (MV Studios) seeks to re-imagine arts education we are looking for a visual artist to teach Lower School Visual Art who is a connector & collaborator. Our goal is to provide learning activities developmentally appropriate to the age of the students in order to develop an interest in and ability for creative expression. We believe that every student has a unique capacity for creating art and our passion is finding and cultivating that ability in a positive and supportive environment. This part-time role would teach Grades 3-5 and be on campus for teaching planning and prep 20-25 hours a week.
As a part-time role this is an hourly non-exempt position.
