Job Description

Were seeking a high-judgement data-driven and detail-oriented communications professional to support executive communications and social-first storytelling for the Amazon Devices & Services (D&S) business. This individual will help drive the day-to-day execution of our executive communications program with a particular focus on social media strategy for our most senior leadersdelivering weekly social content informed by data and business priorities advocating for creative new approaches in line with our all-up strategic goals and sharing best practices with other addition they will partner with our corporate social media team identifying compelling ways to share our story with audiences via Amazons social media channels.

This individual will also support other aspects of our executive communications program playing a key role in strategic planning and owning program management (vetting tracking and supporting engagements like media interviews speaking engagements and internal events). They will write talking points employee communications and other materials on behalf of our leaders and will also own key cross-team mechanisms and resources like a spokesperson training program executive social media center of excellence and messaging/Q&A repository.

This individual will collaborate closely with product PR teams other executive communications teams and the executives office to deliver a best-in-class programnotably creative content that consistently beats benchmarks and grows the executives social following. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with an ability to capture an executives voice/style and someone with experience communicating strategically across channels. This candidate must have the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders navigate a large-scale complex business bring creativity and fresh thinking to the program and scale learnings/mechanisms to help the broader team achieve their goals.

Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end execution of a senior executives social media presence including content sourcing drafting posts and visuals and tracking engagement metrics.
Oversee the broader Devices & Services executive social media program collaborating with PR leads to align messaging and content across leaders especially around key milestones and product launches.
Maintain and regularly update an executive activity tracker coordinating with key stakeholders through weekly updates and monthly review meetings.
Manage cross-functional spokesperson training efforts in partnership with product communications leads.
Own the development and regular updates of cross-organizational messaging briefing and Q&A documents.
Evaluate and prioritize incoming requests for the executives time balancing internal and external commitments.
Drive the creation of key briefing materials including interview prep documents and internal communications content.
Contribute to strategic planning processes by helping to draft annual and biannual planning documents.

- 7 years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelors degree
- Exemplary written and oral communications skills
- Experience building and executing executive communications plans
- Experience building social-first strategies/tactics
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements and measure impact

- Experience working directing with senior leaders
- Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow time-frames
- Entrepreneurial spirit including the ability to work independently and autonomously
- Attention to detail and bias for action as well as an understanding of technology and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
- Demonstrated history of telling rich compelling stories about invention and technology as well as experience crafting and executing against thought leadership platforms
- Experience balancing multiple projectsshort and long-termand delivering on deadline every time
- Outstanding attention to detail and communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
