Senior Staff Accountant
Our Accounting Group has an immediate opening for a Senior Staff Accountant that will report directly to the Controller. This position will take a lead role in daily accounting operations. The Senior Staff Accountant will prepare monthly account reconciliations oversee Lease Accounting and manage the Fixed Assets software. This position will also assist with technical accounting and various other projects as assigned by the Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
This candidate should have a positive outlook should be a team player willing to perform any task/responsibility required and should be dependable detail-oriented organized technically competent process improvement focused and have the ability to communicate to varying audiences.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and make needed adjustments
Assist the Controller with monthly General Ledger review
Manage the Lease Accounting process
Manage fixed asset accounting
Establish monitor and enforce internal controls
Prepare documents for the annual audits
Assist the Controller and CFO as needed
Other special projects and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Bachelors degree in accounting preferred
At least 5 years of relevant accounting work experience
2 years of public accounting experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of GAAP
Experience working in Deltek Vantagepoint preferred
Collaborative team player organized self-motivated
Interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
Proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Customer oriented responsive approach to people management
Credit check will be performed
