Job Description
Predicate Logic is looking for a motivated Accountant to join our team in San Diego CA.
Founded in 1992 Predicate Logic is a woman-owned employee-owned high technology engineering service company. Predicate Logics employees routinely receive many accolades and awards from its customers. The corporate headquarters is in San Diego California. Predicate Logic also has offices in Chesapeake Virginia specializing in communications engineering training and Cybersecurity and in Charleston South Carolina supporting the Navy and Marine Corps programs through Naval Information Warfare Center Charleston.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare day-to-day accounting entries and assist in the monthly closing process.
- Perform posting to the General Ledger. Prepare reconciliations for General Ledger accounts.
- Process and review timesheets and payroll transactions.
- Process accounts payable travel expense and purchase order vouchers.
- Track outstanding accounts receivable and follow up with customers about past due invoices.
- Prepare information for state local and federal taxing authorities or other government agencies as required.
- Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate in an effective ethical and professional manner with company vendor and customer personnel.
EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) years of accounting/finance experience required with emphasis on billing and support of all billing related functions or five (5) years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Three (3) years of accounting experience within a federal government contracting environment required with a working knowledge of Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Time and Material (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contractual requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and effectively manage time to accomplish goals in a time-sensitive environment.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and Adobe PDF required. Experience with Deltek CostPoint system preferred.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors Degree in accounting or related discipline preferred.
