Job Description

Success of Engineering Projects mostly relies on key individuals demonstrating Intrapreneurial Leadership and the best way to develop these skills is through hands-on consulting rolesworking alongside established intrapreneurs in international companies contributing to managing stakeholders engagement workflows reliability or solutions sustainability.

If maintenance reliability fails entire production lines collapse critical equipment downtime skyrockets and costs spiral out of controlyou know this because you are the one who prevents it.

We would therefore welcome you at AETHER to support Intrapreneurial Projects as a medior Industriel Equipment/utilities Reliability Project Engineer:

The scope here is ensuring optimal performance and reliability of production equipment across multiple sites by implementing robust maintenance strategies and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The Key responsibilities expected from our consultant might include:

Support projects through high-quality and detail-oriented execution:

  • Develop and optimise maintenance plans including criticality analysis failure modes and machine segmentation.
  • Recommend specific maintenance tasks and write clear technical instructions after on-site surveys and document reviews.
  • Enter and manage equipment codes in the CMMS adjust spare-part parameters and customise the system for each site.
  • Use work orders to launch and track maintenance plans.
  • Manage spare parts: code items control stock and repairables and align workloads with available resources.

Support projects with rational data-driven assessments:

  • Select implement and track KPIs to measure maintenance performance and guide continuous improvement.
  • Analyse root causes of equipment failures using RCA 5 Whys and Ishikawa methods.

Support projects by facilitating communication and reporting:

  • Manage and prioritise the backlog of work orders; prepare and plan interventions to meet quality standards.
  • Train clients to use the CMMS and its spare-parts management functions.

The experience we are actively looking for:

  • Masters degree in electromechanical or electrical engineering
  • Initial experience in maintenance reliability methodologies (Root-Cause Analysis Pareto) and understanding of equipment criticality and failure modes
  • Ability to read understand and modify P&ID and electrical diagrams
  • Interest in critical sectors such as pharmaceutical nuclear or steel industries
  • Proactive rigorous and adaptable mindset with strong prioritisation skills
  • Commitment to safety as a top priority
  • Fluent in French and able to understand written English; Dutch is a plus
  • Valid work and residence permits for Belgium (mandatory for non-EU candidates)
  • Immediate availability and presence in Belgium are preferred
