Job Description

Pharmacist In Charge (PIC)

Our client a family-owned and operated community pharmacy located in the Knoxville Metro area is seekign to hire a qualified PIC. Along with providing pharmaceutical services this pharmacy focuses on delivering a superior customer service experience by creating personal relationships with patients and communities.

The Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) will be responsible for managing a great team and dispensing medications prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners. The person in this roll will oversee a retail prescription pharmacy department with a strong non-sterile compounding lab.

Responsibilities:

Dispense prescribed medications
Advise physicians and health practitioners on the interactions and side effects of medications
Provide patients with pertinent drug information
Proactively review prescriptions for proper dosage
Supervise and maintain records of all medications
Manage a pharmacy team and compounding lab

Qualifications:

Active state of Tennessee pharmacist license and PharmD or RPh degree
Previous experience in pharmacy leadership preferred
Previous experience in non-sterile compounding preferred
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
