Job Description
Summary:
Is responsible for the management of inquiries from referrers potential patients and their families seeking access to day hospital level of care.
Participates with program leadership team in the approval of admissions and coordinates the details of the entire admissions process.
Maintains electronic files to facilitate program communication and to provide input to other departments.
Responsible for other tasks and responsibilities as assigned for Day Hospital Service Line.
Requires:
- Work requires clinical expertise in admissions intake assessment and/or concierge customer service. Requires Bachelors degree in psychology counseling social work a related field and 2-3 years of relevant experience OR Internal Staffwith a HS/GED and 5 or more years of relevant experience internal to Sheppard Pratt.
- Experience with behavioral healthcare is strongly preferred.
- Work requires interpersonal skills sufficient to represent programs professionally. Requires ability to effectively interact with patients family members and referrers in addition to representing the hospital to outsiders.
Pay range: $21.84 - $32.97/hour
