We are looking for
Legal Counsel (m/f/d)
at one of our locations in EMEA region - in Germany (Pfullingen or Hausen im Wiesental)
To strengthen our international Legal Team we are looking for a committed and hands-on Legal Counsel (m/f/d) with a focus on the automotive industry. This is a permanent position supporting the Global Counsel across a broad range of legal matters particularly in the European region (with a focus on Germany). The role is especially suitable for candidates with a degree in Business Law (LL.B. or Masters) and several years of professional experience in an international environment.
Review draft and negotiate contracts within the automotive supply chain (e.g. supplier agreements quality agreements development contracts NDAs consortium agreements).
Support the implementation and compliance with data protection regulations (especially GDPR) particularly in relation to group-wide data flows and HR-relevant topics.
Corporate housekeeping and legal support for the European subsidiaries of the automotive group.
Ideally: legal support for environmental and sustainability topics (e.g. IMDS REACH VerpackG CSRD) especially in response to OEM requirements.
Legal research and assessment of legislative changes especially EU regulations impacting the automotive industry.
Collaboration with departments such as Procurement Sales Engineering and HR and support in communication with OEMs customers and authorities.
Completed university degree in Business Law (LL.B. LL.M. or equivalent). Second State Exam not required but welcomed.
Minimum of 35 years of professional experience ideally in the legal department of an automotive supplier or a specialized law firm.
Strong knowledge of German contract law product liability law and the regulatory framework of the automotive industry.
Knowledge of data protection law (GDPR) and environmental law is an advantage.
Structured solution-oriented working style and high level of personal responsibility.
Fluent in both German and English (business proficiency).
Readness for a business trips within Germany (20%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with customer-specific contract requirements (e.g. OEM T&Cs global sourcing models).
Knowledge in compliance whistleblower protection and internal risk management.
Experience in supporting restructuring product relocations or M&A in the automotive sector.
Close collaboration with the Global Counsel and active influence on legal processes within the group
