About the opportunity:
In this technical role you will manage subdivision applications development agreements and engineering reviews for municipal infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include intake coordination inspection and closeout of development-related infrastructure work. This position may focus on building permits subdivision applications or both ensuring that all projects adhere to city standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally you will provide excellent customer service to the development community and the public. This full time term position is expected to last until January 2026.
About your background:
We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology and eligibility for certification as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT) in British Columbia or an equivalent out-of-province designation. For the Development Services Engineering Technologist 1 role candidates must have Grade 12 completion a two-year post-secondary Diploma of Technology or Technician Certificate from a nationally accredited program recognized by ASTTBC and at least two years of experience in a civil engineering environment. The Development Services Engineering Technologist 2 level requires the same educational background and a minimum of three years of relevant experience. For the Development Services Engineering Technologist 3 position candidates must meet all previous requirements and have at least five years of experience along with an AScT designation. A valid full privilege Class 5 BC drivers license (or out of province equivalent) is required.
