Job Description
Balanced Body is an energetic environmentally conscious leader in the global Pilates industry. As we continue to grow were seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting operations including financial reporting and staff management. This is a key leadership role reporting to the Director of Accounting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing A/R A/P GL Payroll Cost Accounting Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Manage the month and year end close process
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of all subsidiary and ad-hoc reporting
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting advanced degree a plus;
- 7 years of relevant experience; manufacturing/cost accounting required;
- CPA or CMA preferred;
- Experience with all aspects of general accounting functions including A/R A/P payroll inventory month end closing and preparing financial statements;
- Proficient computer and spreadsheet skills particularly Microsoft Office products;
- Experienced user of ERP or inventory/cost accounting software;
- Experience with supervision of accounting staff;
- Strong critical thinking skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills and time management;
- A positive attitude and everyday commitment to constant change and growth.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
