Overview
Seeking a new career challenge Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring a Water & Energy Utilities - National Sales Director to join our dynamic Utilities team. This position reports to the Utilities Market Director and is responsible for leading a team of program directors and buisiness development professionals to grow services across the water energy and utilities markets.
Essential Functions
As the Utilities National Sales Directorat Woolpert you will:
- Lead a team of program directors and business development professionals to grow services across the water energy and utilities markets
- Work across practice areas to develop business opportunities and assure services are performed in a manner compatible with Woolperts goal of being an industry leader
- Builds and enhances existing client relationships to identify and initiate additional project opportunities within the client base for Water Energy and Infrastructure services
- Identifies and builds new client relationships that match the client and project type focus and overall business strategy
- Promotes Woolpert as an industry leader for Water and Energy services with new and existing clients
- Assists project managers in or performing negotiation of project schedule fee scope and contract terms
- Mentors Project Managers
- Works with Project Managers to identify address and resolve any project issues impacting client goals objectives and/or client satisfaction.
- Defines and communicates client needs and expectations.
- Ensures continuous stakeholder (client clients manager etc.) communications addressing resolving and anticipating project issues
- Participate in local and regional industry affiliated professional organizations and groups.
Responsibilities
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- BA/BS and 20 years related experience
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Candidate must have business development sales acumen project management and team leadership skills.
- Must be able to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of information and data
- Must demonstrate an enterprising innovative proactive management approach
- Must possess high levels of demonstrated leadership ability
- Must be able to research and define multiple project scopes schedules and budgets
- Must be able to establish and maintain rapport with clients vendors management and employees
- Must possess strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Must possess excellent facilitation and/or meeting skills
- Must possess excellent presentation and communication (oral and written) skills
- Must be able to travel as to meet the needs and demands of the Market.
