Job Description:
DTN is seeking a Product Manager to contribute to the development and execution of our product strategy for innovative SaaS solutions that leverage weather business intelligence and AI/ML to solve operational challenges for our customers. This role will be crucial in shaping the next phase of profitable growth in our weather and climate intelligence platforms.
As a key member of our product team youll drive the integration of customer risk communication experiences into our next generation weather intelligence platform empowering organizations to make better decisions when facing weather-related challenges. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform complex meteorological data into actionable insights that deliver measurable business value across industries.
What you will be responsible for:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Lead the development of product roadmaps for risk communication features that align with our next generation weather intelligence platform strategy
Prioritize engineering efforts based on customer needs market research and business impact
Articulate new features and priorities through epics and user stories enabling engineering teams to understand the rationale and customer impact
Customer Insights & Market Research
Define and execute go-to-market strategies for new risk communication offerings in collaboration with sales and marketing teams
Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing weather intelligence solutions
Research industry trends in risk communication and weather intelligence to inform product decisions
Product Execution
Build strong relationships with engineering design and Weather Operations teams
Support the migration strategy from legacy platforms to next generation solutions
Contribute to peril intelligence innovation efforts to enhance customer decision-making capabilities
Stakeholder Collaboration
Actively participate in agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-Ups Sprint Planning Retrospectives and End of Sprint Demos
Engage with customers to understand their unique operational challenges and how weather impacts their business
Work closely with Weather Operations experts to translate complex weather data into actionable insights
Metrics & Performance
Monitor key product performance metrics and contribute to continuous product improvements
Apply data-driven decision making to product development and feature prioritization
Demonstrate understanding of how AI/ML techniques can enhance weather intelligence and risk communication
What you will bring to the role
3 years of Product Management experience with SaaS products in agile environments
Basic understanding of financial concepts and product economics
Experience with product management tools (Jira Confluence)
Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex weather concepts into clear business value
Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize work effectively and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Background or education in meteorology atmospheric science communications emergency management or related field
Knowledge of how businesses leverage weather data for operational decision-making
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
Familiarity with emergency management or risk communication principles

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $90000 and $120000. DTN is a pay for performance organization which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors including but not limited to: prior work experience training/education transferable skills business needs internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
