A bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Laboratory Techniques: The scientist will prepare blood samples for metabolomics proteomics and
other biomarker assays. These sample matrices will support the development of a comprehensive
biomarker dataset.
Bioinformatics and Data Science: The scientist will assist with statistical analysis using R/SAS and
help organize datasets for interpretation in collaboration with the PI and the research team. A key focus
will be on integrating biomarker data through statistical and machine-learning approaches to uncover
meaningful biological insights.
Assist the PI and collaborator in implementing best practices for sample collection processing and
analysis. Perform independent data analysis via database searches on raw biomarker data facilitate data
transfer and communicate analytical results to the PI.
Organize samples for storage and maintain sample processing documentation including monitoring
sample quantities and tracking their intended use for future experiments. Learn and carry out backup
responsibilities for both data and sample management. Perform other duties as assigned.
$17 - $22 per hour

Previous work experience as a laboratory assistant.
