Position Overview:

The
Positive Supports Program Manager develops and implements individualized person-centered behavioral support strategies for individuals receiving waiver-funded services. This position plays a key role in ensuring ethical evidence-based and effective behavior supports for individuals with mental health diagnoses intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or challenging behaviors. This role reports to the Community-Based Services Director and includes leadership training and consultative responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individualized functional behavior assessmentsto guide support strategies.
  • Collaborate with individuals and their teams to develop person-centered positive-practice behavior support plansand/or positive support transition plans.
  • Ensure timely distributionof behavior support plans to individuals and their care teams.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectivenessof interventions and supports.
  • Modify plansas needed based on ongoing data and individual progress.
  • Deliver onsite training and instructional supportto staff and caregivers on implementing positive supports.
  • Supervise and trainwaiver positive support analysts and specialists.
Required Qualification and Experience:

Applicants must meet at least one of the following licensure/credentialing requirements:

  • Licensed Psychologist (Minn. Stat. 148.88148.98)
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
  • Masters degree in Social Work with 4000 hours of supervised clinical experience
  • Licensed Psychiatrist or eligible for board certification
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with 4000 hours of clinical experience
  • Masters or PhD in behavioral science or related field with demonstrated expertise in positive supports
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with either:
    • National certification as a clinical specialist or nurse practitioner in psychiatric/mental health nursing
    • Masters in nursing/behavioral science and 4000 hours of supervised clinical experience

Additional Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of functional assessments data collection and positive behavior supports
  • Understanding of mental health neurocognitive and developmental disorders
  • Ability to train and support direct care teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Valid drivers license clean driving record and personal vehicle with insurance
