Position Description: The Marketing and Events Coordinator will assist with the development of marketing materials used in social media sales and community events. This position will play a key role in helping to drive our successful marketing efforts. The Marketing and Events Coordinator will assist in the coordination of the companys social media efforts internal and external communications event planning and promotional item sourcing. They will also ensure that all communication efforts are in sync with the companys promotion/marketing plans and branding. Essential Functions/Accountabilities: Social Media Execute social media content across Facebook Instagram LinkedIn Pinterest etc. (i.e. posting sharing engaging increasing social reach) for both Granville Homes and Granville Realty; - Assist with analyzing and developing social media marketing strategies;
- Stay up to date on the latest social media trends and incorporate new tools into the overall social media strategy;
- Create engaging content that builds our audience and grows the companies reach online;
- Work with team leads to brainstorm unique marketing ideas and diverse messages
Events - Assist with the master planning of all company events including scheduling vendors catering rental equipment AV equipment signage venues decorations guest lists and giveaways;
- Events include: Open Houses Community Meetings Homeowner Events Grand Opening Events Granville Home of Hope Company Holiday Party Groundbreakings Ribbon Cuttings etc.
- Confirm all dignitaries and guest speakers prior to event;
- Draft press releases to send out to media channels;
- Spearhead event set-up/clean-up as needed;
- Serve as photographer and videographer as needed;
- Assist with the planning coordination and execution of annual Granville Home of Hope fundraiser;
Project Management - Organize meetings events and coordinate ticket drop-off and pick-up with GV Home of Hope nonprofits; assist with entering sold tickets into the GV Home of Hope database;
- Coordinate sponsorship meetings review requests conduct communication with requesting organizations determine logistics of production/logo delivery complete check requests and final documentation etc.;
- Manage promotional giveaways and keep an accurate inventory of supplies; request bids and place orders for all items including employee apparel homeowner gifts etc.;
- Organize and maintain the marketing storage room and all offsite storage locations;
- Support the marketing team through flawless planning coordination and execution of the marketing campaigns promotions and special projects.
Work Environment: - This job mainly operates in the office with some exposure in the field environment when working on event setup and event coverage.
- This role routinely uses a vehicle to transport between sites standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers and cameras.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: - This is a full time at will position and work hours are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required as department needs demand.

Travel - Travel is primarily local during the business day although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Minimum Requirements: - College degree in marketing public relations business administration mass communications and journalism or similar; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 1-2 years marketing and events experience preferably in the real estate industry
- Previous experience utilizing social media in a business environment
- Experience with copywriting and blogging
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop and illustrator) preferred
- Proficiency in Canva (Graphic Design)
- Experience with Google Ad Words and Google Analytics
- Creative and analytical thinker
- Excellent active listening and speaking skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Very detail oriented with a proven ability to multitask
