What You Will Do:
National Louis University is seeking a talented and creative Videographer & Photographer to join our dynamic marketing team. This full-time position will focus primarily on videography with additional responsibility for photography. The ideal candidate should be skilled in both capturing high-quality video and still images for a variety of content needs while serving as a key visual storyteller for the universitys brand across all marketing initiatives.
This role requires a self-starter who excels at collaboration demonstrates excellent communication skills and is skilled in their craft. The successful candidate will be comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders across departments consistently delivering projects on time and working independently with minimal supervision. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support events and campus activities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Video Production: Produce shoot and edit compelling video content for digital platforms marketing campaigns and social media channels (Facebook Instagram LinkedIn TikTok YouTube)
- Photography: Capture professional photos for marketing materials events and digital content while maintaining organized digital asset libraries
- Visual Storytelling: Create video narratives for commercials program videos campus tours and promotional content that align with university brand guidelines
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work independently with various departments to document campus events student achievements and faculty accomplishments
- Event Coverage: Attend university events (including evenings/weekends) for video and photo documentation
- Content Management: Develop and adapt content for multiple platforms while staying current with social media trends and best practices
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously meet deadlines and maintain consistent quality standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in videography and photography including Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro After Effects Photoshop Lightroom) and Final Cut Pro
- Experience: 2-3 years of videography/photography experience preferably in higher education nonprofit or marketing environment
- Creative Skills: Strong visual storytelling abilities with understanding of social media trends and platform-specific requirements
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across departments
- Professional Attributes: Self-motivated detail-oriented able to work independently adaptable under tight deadlines and comfortable with evening/weekend work as needed
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in marketing communications film photography or related field
- Experience with motion graphics animation and live streaming
- Familiarity with content management systems and digital asset management
- Experience working in higher education a plus

The salary range of the grade for this position is $45986 to $64380 annually. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. Offers are based on multiple factors permitted by law including but not limited to: budgetary considerations job-related knowledge/skills experience market considerations tenure and standing with the university (applicable to current employees) and internal equity.
