Job Description
Direct Service Specialist positions available in Shores Adult Services Programin Chelsea.
You will directly work with a warm interesting and fun-loving group of individuals with developmental disabilities in an active day services setting. Youll lead and help individuals to participate in activities that center around building life social community and therapeutic skills that meet their personal goals. Individuals have a broad range of abilities and some need staff assistance for dining and personal care activities others for developing coping and self-expression strategies.
Our programs operate during regular business hours Monday through Friday withno on-call nightor weekend obligations. If youre just out of school or have never worked in human servicesthis rewarding job maybe the first step inyour newcareer. We provide plenty of training that will build your skills and confidence alongside co-workerswhoareavailable to assist.
Ideal candidates aredependable like working with people and have the energy to commit to a meaningful job. High school diploma or equivalent license preferred. Candidates must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to assist people with physical disabilities in daily living activities and to participate in the training and implementation if necessary of behavior support interventions.
This position pays$20 to $23 based on experience and includes paid time off great benefits and participation in the Massachusetts State Retirement Systems pension plan.
