About the team

This role sits within the IT team which comprises 40 plus technology specialists based in our London Cardiff Manchester and Belfast offices. Our role is to deliver industry-leading technology solutions for our clients our staff and our communities underpinning the firms future products and services to enable business growth and enhance profitability.

About the role

The Technology Services Assistant role is to assist with a number of essential operations of the Technology team to deliver excellent customer service. The roles main tasks will be around creation of new joiners including hardware provisioning processing leavers and other credential changes they will work across the whole team on various tasks projects and regular processes as required.

This varied role will require flexibility quick learning creativity with self-motivation an interest in technology an inquisitive nature and customer service skills are essential to enhance and develop this role. Training will be available where required.

Key responsibilities

  • The creation of new joiners in a timely manner including testing access to enhance the on-boarding process
  • Amending access for movers within the firm
  • Responsible for processing leavers and ensuring access to systems is proactively managed
  • Managing hardware assets as part of the new joiner and leaver process
  • Assisting helpdesk with overflow work from our helpdesk ticketing system where required for the smooth delivery of the service
  • Assisting the team in hardware and software upgrades and rollouts often out of hours or at weekends
About you

You will have a professional manner excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have previous experience working within an office. Youll have a flexible nature and will enjoy working within a fast-paced team and will be highly organised. Youll also possess strong numeracy and attention to detail skills which will be key within this role. We are looking for someone who is passionate about being a team player who is keen to support others.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot common hardware/software issues
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge when faced with new challenges
  • Attention to detail is key in this role for the smooth running of the service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Open to asking questions and obtaining information in order to deliver the responsibilities of the role
  • Working as part of a team to assist in delivering the Technology service
  • Willing to work out of hours when required and at short notice
