Municipal Engineer/Project Manager Seeking an exciting opportunity for an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to provide project leadership client management and team coordination along with technical design. Our municipal group works with cities towns and water and sewer districts across the region with a focus on planning funding designing and construction of water and wastewater facilities. The municipal group also collaborates with the other groups across the company to provide a full line of services to our municipal clients. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage tasks/projects and clients expectations regarding scope time and budget goals for the planning design and construction of municipal projects as well as create construction documents and specifications and handle construction oversight/administration.
Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Write technical specifications reports and other correspondence to various audiences.
Learn and apply company standards and best practices.
Coordinate with government agencies client staff and other professionals to obtain design information and approvals.
Mentor staff from a client care business development and technical perspective.
Consistently exercise discretion and judgment in all work tasks.
Contribute to the continued growth of the Helena Municipal Group by leading business development initiatives (proposal development interviews presentations etc.) project delivery and growing our client base while coordinating efforts with other members of the firms Municipal Groups and Senior Management Team.
Ideal candidates will have:
Significant experience in the design of water treatment and distribution systems and wastewater treatment and collection systems.
A solid track record of providing exceptional project delivery to existing clients while managing internal technical teams and projects to profitability.
A proven track record in marketing building strong relationships and securing work with existing and potential clients.
Strong involvement in industry-affiliated professional organizations and groups.
Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a BS/BA in Engineering or a related degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Top candidates will have 10 years of experience working with communities to solve their water and wastewater challenges.
A Professional Engineering (PE) license in Montana or the ability to obtain one within six months.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals.
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Excellent work ethic and a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles.
Valid drivers license and a good driving record.
