Job Title: Case Manager - Facilities and Apartment Readiness Coordinator
Program: Scattered Site Transitional Housing Program (OTDA Funded)
Location: Five Boroughs of New York City
Salary Range: $68000 to $70000
The Facilities and Apartment Readiness Coordinator is responsible for preparing and equipping scattered-site transitional housing units throughout the five boroughs of New York City. This position plays a critical operational role in ensuring each apartment is fully set up furnished and ready for occupancy by homeless individuals and families placed through an OTDA-funded program.
Key Responsibilities:Coordinate the setup and turnover of transitional housing apartments across all five boroughs.
Manage the procurement ordering and delivery of furniture appliances and household supplies.
Conduct pre-occupancy walkthroughs to ensure each unit meets health safety and OTDA habitability standards.
Schedule and oversee furniture deliveries installations cleanings and minor maintenance as needed.
Serve as the primary point of contact with landlords vendors and delivery personnel to ensure timely and complete apartment setups.
Track and document inventory unit readiness status delivery confirmations and outstanding needs.
Ensure that welcome kits or starter kits (e.g. linens kitchen supplies) are placed in each unit prior to occupancy.
Identify and resolve issues that may delay move-ins including maintenance or access problems.
Support other operations team members in planning and logistics related to apartment assignments and transitions.
Maintain detailed records of unit readiness progress and communicate updates to program leadership.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred.
Experience in property management housing operations logistics or facilities coordination.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel daily throughout all five NYC boroughs (drivers license and access to a vehicle strongly preferred).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with vendors landlords and internal teams.
Familiarity with transitional housing or social services programs a plus.
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.
Field-based role with daily travel to scattered site apartments across NYC.
Some evening or weekend hours may be required based on delivery schedules or urgent unit setups.
