Job Title: Nurse Manager II ICU

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Sign-On Bonus: 10% of Annual Salary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Manager II ICU to lead a high-performing team in a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit. This leadership role is instrumental in driving clinical excellence optimizing care delivery and ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering a collaborative and compassionate environment.
This is an onsite leadership position based in Redwood City CA overseeing ICU operations coordinating interdepartmental efforts and championing continuous improvement in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:Lead implementation of best-practice care models and clinical standards across ICU units
Provide functional and clinical leadership to nursing staff focusing on performance professional development and succession planning
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and oversee quality assurance initiatives
Collaborate with physicians case managers and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
Manage staffing scheduling equipment and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations
Participate in budgeting cost control and productivity efforts
Lead and coordinate preparation for audits surveys and emergency response protocols
Drive change management efforts aimed at improving safety efficiency and patient satisfaction
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 5 years of ICU experience in an acute care setting
At least 5 years of leadership experience as an Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager
Current BLS Certification
Experience in a Neuro ICU environment
Background in unionized healthcare settings
Masters degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or related field
