Position Overview:
We are looking for a Creative English Fiction Story Writer to join our in-house YouTube content team. The ideal candidate will have a flair for storytelling a strong command of written English and prior experience in writing fiction for digital video platforms.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop original and engaging fiction storylines for YouTube video content.

Write clear compelling scripts tailored to the platforms audience and format.

Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy authenticity and depth in storytelling.

Collaborate with directors editors and content strategists to bring scripts to life.

Participate in ideation and brainstorming sessions for new content ideas.

Revise scripts based on creative feedback while maintaining narrative flow.

Adapt writing style to match various content genres and tones.

Stay updated on storytelling trends and YouTube content strategies.

Ensure all scripts align with SSB Media s brand tone and content goals.

Manage multiple writing projects and deliver within set deadlines.

Collaborate with graphic designers and video editors to visualize final outputs.

Monitor audience feedback and adjust storytelling techniques accordingly.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelors degree in English Journalism Mass Communication or a related field.

1 3 years of experience in fiction writing preferably for YouTube or digital platforms.

Strong storytelling narrative development and scriptwriting skills.

A portfolio showcasing fiction or creative writing samples is mandatory.

Ability to create emotionally resonant and visually imaginative stories.

Knowledge of YouTube trends algorithm-friendly content formats and audience engagement strategies.

Excellent command in English grammar syntax and style.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and feedback.

Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.

Familiarity with the video production process is a plus.
