The expected starting base salary for this position is $83528 - $88336 annually depending on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience. Once hired you will progress through a wider salary range over time as you continue to develop job knowledge skills and competencies for the role.

Our office is closed for the 11 statutory holidays in B.C. as well as Easter Monday and Boxing Day.

What youll be doing

Under the direction of the Director IT and guidance from the IT Architect and Infrastructure Team Lead lead the planning and prioritization of Microsoft 365 features rollouts across the organization ensuring alignment with digital transformation goals and operational priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer and configure Microsoft 365 environments including but not limited to Teams SharePoint OneDrive Outlook and Power Platform.
  • Manage user accounts licenses permissions and security settings within Microsoft 365.
  • Monitor and optimize Microsoft 365 performance ensuring reliability and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Develop and maintain a structured release cadence for Microsoft 365 features categorized into Wave Releases i.e. low-impact features with phased incremental rollouts General Adoption Releases i.e. org-wide deployments requiring training and adoption tracking and high-impact releases managed as structured projects with partner engagement.
  • Under the guidance of the IT Architect and Infrastructure Team Lead and working in collaboration with IT teams coordinate the end-to-end release process including planning testing deployment and post-release support.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment of Microsoft 365 updates minimizing disruption to business operations. This includes facilitating workshops and meetings to gather feedback address concerns and ensure alignment on release plan.
  • Follow the guidance of the Communications team draft and distribute release notes and other communication materials to inform users of new features changes and benefits.
  • In collaboration with the change management team develop and implement strategies to drive user awareness and adoption of new Microsoft 365 features. Monitor and track the success of releases ensuring user adoption and satisfaction.
  • Create self-service materials such as quick videos FAQs and user guides to support Wave Releases.
  • In collaboration with the appropriate enabling teams organize kick-off sessions demos and training programs for General Adoption Releases.
  • For Business Process Impacting Changes engage relevant internal partners through workshops executive sponsorship and tailored roadmaps.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing learning related to Indigenous cultural safety and humility and supporting organizational actions towards addressing indigenous-specific racism in BCs health care system.

Your education & skills

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) including administration configuration feature rollouts and change management; strong understanding of Microsoft 365 applications (e.g. Teams SharePoint OneDrive Outlook Power Platform) and their integration in enterprise environments.
  • Experience in creating release roadmaps coordinating with cross-functional teams and managing partner communications.
  • Certification in Microsoft 365 (e.g. Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) is an asset.
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as SysAid.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in creating clear concise user-friendly documentation training materials and release notes.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills with the ability to assess business impact and prioritize releases accordingly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to establish build and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team.
  • An appreciation for and attention to offering high level of service with a strong customer-centric mindset.
  • Works outside of regular working hours on occasion to maintain/upgrade systems and associated infrastructure and at times in short notice to restore services as required.
  • Knowledge of Canadian colonial impacts on Indigenous people in social and health contexts including social economic political and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and knowledge of Indigenous-specific anti-racism and accompanying reports (e.g. The Truth & Reconciliation Commissions 94 Calls to Action (2015) the In Plain Sight Report (2020) and Reclaiming Power and Places Calls for Justice (2019)) is an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of equity diversity inclusion and cultural humility as they apply to health care is an asset.
