Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are currently seeking a skilled Basic Grade Medical Scientist-Microbiology to lead hospitals in Tralee.
Responsibilities
- Advice applies and carries out operating procedures by "best practice" standards to maximize resource utilization.
- Assist in the creation upkeep and enforcement of protocols for every section of the lab and the testing apparatus that goes with it.
- Assist medical and scientific personnel in assessing medications tools consumables and research initiatives.
- Following hospital rules and collaborating on innovative concepts and technology with the appropriate staff.
- Being a committed professional and on-time team member in the lab with good communication
Requirements
- An Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM)-validated biomedical science degree or an equivalent credential is required.
- Enrollment in the board-maintained Medical Scientists Register at CORU is crucial.
- Proof of ongoing professional development.
- In an acute hospital laboratory clinical expertise as a medical scientist in microbiology is crucial.
- A solid grasp of Joint Commission International and prior INAB accreditation in accordance with ISO 15189 standards are preferred.
- In our diverse department flexibility and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
- It is crucial to have excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Excellent planning organizing and time management abilities.
- High ability to take initiative and be responsible.
- IT expertise is necessary.
