Job Description
Saratoga Bridges is looking for an energetic Nurse who loves to teach others. This Medical Trainer works daytime hours during the week training non-medical employees. There are a variety of training with topics including but not limited to Medical Topics Bloodborne Pathogens CPR and First Aid along with a New York State curriculum on Medication Administration. Our DSPs support adults who have a developmental/intellectual disability in our homes. Come join our team and be a Difference Maker!
Experience developing curriculum handouts and PowerPoint presentations are a key part of this role. Scheduling and conducting medical in-services too. This person provides some assistance in health initiatives such as Hepatitis B vaccines and flu clinics for employees.
This position requires:
- A valid drivers license
- Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint
- The candidate must hold a valid NYS Nursing license. Bachelors degree preferred.
- One year of experience working with people who have a DD/ID preferred.
- Experience conducting staff training in the field of nursing preferred.
