Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) - Programs

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at our Calgary base in the Human Resources department.

While you may not be flying the helicopter or providing patient care as a member of STARS Human Resources team you will play an important role in STARS life-saving mission. Be part of something bigger. Be part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Full Cycle Recruitment Oversight:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes in partnership with HRBPs and business stakeholders including creating and managing job postings candidate screening scheduling and conducting of interviews (as needed) conducting references and the coordination of pre-employment testing as required
  • Act as the subject matter expert on the Application Tracking System (ATS) ensuring full optimization of the system aimed at fostering a positive candidate and client experience including active engagement of available AI tools

Disability Programs Oversight:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for team members in partnership with HRBP requiring support navigating the short- and long-term disability programs and WCB claim process
  • Develop strong working relationships with case managers via insurance providers ensuring continuity of support for impacted team members and timely file management

Orientation and Annual Awards Program Oversight:

  • Serve as the program lead in the coordination and delivery of the new hire orientation sessions held bi-annually
  • Lead the coordination of the Annual Awards program across the various stages from the nomination process through to the celebration

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years experience supporting relevant HR programs including targeted experience supporting recruitment and disability management
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree is an asset
  • CPHR designation is also considered an asset
  • Builds strong relationships at all levels in the organization taking a service-based approach to all interactions
