Junior Software Engineer

As a Junior Software Engineer on the Software Architecture and Engineering Team youll be part of a fast-moving forward-thinking group that designs and builds custom software solutions for critical defense operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on experience with at least 1 programming language (i.e. Java Node/JavaScript C# Python Perl).
• Hands-on experience with at least 1 database (i.e. Postgres MSSQL Oracle MariaDB/MySQL MongoDB Redis).
• Hands-on experience with at least 1 User Interface Frameworks (i.e. Bootstrap JQuery Vue Next) preferred.
• Understands APIs Microservices and/or Server-Client application interactions and design with hands-on experience in at least one of those areas.
• Full Stack Software Developers preferred. 

Qualifications :

• Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• At least 1 year of software engineering experience.
• At least 6 months of experience in the commercial industry sector preferred.
• At least 6 months participating in code reviews for a team preferred.
• At least 1 year of hands-on coding experience in one of the following programming languages: C/C C# Java Go NodeJS JavaScript/TypeScript Python Perl PHP.
• At least 6 months of hands-on coding experience designing and implementing databases and database schemas for a production software system (i.e. Postgres MSSQL Oracle MariaDB/MySQL MongoDB Redis) preferred.
• At least 6 months of hands-on coding experience building and deploying production containerized software applications for either Docker DockerSwarm Kubernetes or OpenShift (or similar) preferred.
• At least 6 months of hands-on coding experience with either ReactJS or Angular (or a similar front-end framework)(experience with ReactJS preferred) preferred.
• At least 6 months of hands-on coding experience with Data Caches Data Indexes Data Streams or Data Queues (experience in all of these preferred) preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience developing and deploying production software applications in at least one of the following cloud providers: AWS Google Cloud Microsoft Azure preferred.
• At least 6 months of hands-on experience designing and implementing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) preferred.
