Job Description
Job Description: The Data Quality Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Franklin WI will validate and verify functionality of New Business App Input application for various products and plans supported under Life and Disability Insurance. Apply software life cycle and design patterns to understand technical features. Participate in Agile Sprint ceremonies. Utilize Jira Gitlab Testing Frameworks Xray Postman. Understand and analyze business requirements for technical projects and design test plans. Test Windows database and web based applications. Document test plan and scenarios and design test cases accordingly. Participate in functional testing integration testing and regression testing. Automate prioritized test scenarios and maintain existing automated scenarios. Conduct testing activities including database web or infrastructure testing. Maintain requirements traceability matrix to assure completeness of test procedures. Utilize APIs and associated protocols as well as JSON REST or SOAP. Keep track of all the defects and monitor them across the environment. Telecommuting permitted 3 days per week. Salary $109779- $172380 per year.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation. Experience must include 5 years with each of the following: (1) testing Windows Database and Web based applications; (2) testing activities including database web mobile or infrastructure testing; (3) Mainframe testing; (4) APIs and associated protocols; (5) JSON REST or SOAP; (6) Jira Gitlab Testing Frameworks Xray and Postman; and (7) developing solution delivery using agile methods and requirements.
