Job Summary:
The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs both routine and advanced vascular ultrasound studies along with other non-invasive vascular procedures in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. This role is responsible for organizing and prioritizing workload based on departmental needs and ensuring all assignments are completed within designated timeframes.

Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program (CAAHEP- or CMA-approved vascular/ultrasound training program).
Current RVT certification within 6 months of employment
Current BLS certification required
Experience:
2 to 4 years of related experience in vascular ultrasound preferred
Skills & Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology.
Knowledge of vascular ultrasound safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Ability to understand and follow detailed examination protocols.
Ability to work with patients with limited mobility or severe peripheral vascular disease.
Physical Requirements:
-Requires regular sitting standing walking reaching wrist movement grasping fine motor skills talking and hearing.
-Occasional bending climbing kneeling and reaching overhead.
-Infrequent crawling or crouching.
-Must be able to lift push and pull up to 25 pounds.
