Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on both diesel or gasoline engines transmissions differentials brakes steering and suspension
- Diagnose and repair auxiliary electrical systems
- Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested
- Complete vehicle repair and maintenance paperwork using work orders and Fleet Maintenance Software
- Provide customer service and a relationship with all fleet and operations personnel and outside vendors
Qualifications:
- Should have a high school diploma GED or equivalent education
- Should have two years of experience as an Automotive Technician
- ASE and/or EVT Certifications are preferred but not required
- Must have a current and valid Arizona drivers license
Must have a full set of personal tools needed to complete basic automotive repairs:
- Ratchets: 1/4 3/8 1/2 Drive
- Sockets: SAE and Metric Standard and Deep
- Extensions: Short Medium Long 1/4 3/8 1/2 Drive
- 1/2 Drive Impact Wrench that can R & R wheels on Ambulances
- Combination Wrenches: 1/4 thru 1-1/8 and 6MM thru 24MM
- Screwdrivers: Flat blade small/med/large & Phillips #0 #1 #2
- Pliers: Channel lock long nose linesman wire strippers crimpers
- Punches: Straight Center Punch chisels
- Hammers: Ball pein dead blow soft sledge
- Pickle Forks
- Oil Filter Wrench
- Test light LED (Power probe or similar is fine)
- Multimeter: Voltage-OHMS-AMPS
- Mechanics Toolbox on Wheels
