In this role you will generate new business along with maintaining and building relationships with existing customers. You will be involved with the full sales cycle calling on all buying influences including engineering purchasing quality assurance as well as senior management to generate opportunities and present pricing proposals.
Essential Functions
Identify new sales opportunities and follow up on new leads.
Maintain detailed information on projects quotes samples and any other sales related information.
Develop and maintain relationships with Customer at multiple levels including engineering purchasing quality and senior management.
Attends and conducts business at trade shows.
Sustain long-term relationships with key individuals in key accounts.
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from newspapers business directories industry ads trade shows Internet Web sites and other sources.
Works with the Inside Sales Team Customer Service Representatives to facilitate customer requirements.
Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
Experience Education and Skills
Associate degree OR two-year technical degree in engineering or related
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
2 years of industrial sales experience within industrial automation products and solutions experience selling custom controls panels is also preferred.
Experience selling Siemens and/or Eaton automation products is a plus
Valid Drivers License in good standingis required
Occasional out-of-town travel required
Strong business creative and technical writing skills
Proficiency in MS office skills including Word Excel and PowerPoint
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Effective interpersonal organizational planning and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to multitask
