Job Title: Analyst Gas Control

Location: Milford CT

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience ranging from $78091.20 to $97614.00.

Job Summary

The Gas Control analyst supports the daily operation of the Gas Control Center and compliance with associated Control Room Management Regulations

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops reviews and implements procedures to maintain compliance with Control Room Management (CRM) regulations (Federal Code 49 CFR 192.631).
  • Coordinates activities between operations engineering and SCADA support to ensure that all CRM guidelines processes and procedures are followed and properly documented.
  • Utilizes tracking system as necessary to assure compliance with regulatory activities.
  • Creates reports for management to track compliance activities to assure deadlines are met.
  • Documents and coordinates review of Gas Control operational procedures.
  • Ensures records are complete accurate and retained in accordance with record retention policies.
  • Implements processes and creates documentation for any new updated regulations and industry recommended practices.
  • Prepares for and participates in regulatory audits.
  • Develops and trains Controllers in CRM compliance activities.
  • Assists in identifying recommending and implementing best practices across AVANGRID gas control rooms.
  • Supports the control room budgetary process by creating PR/POs and tracking budget expenses against targets.
  • Works independently and with a team on assigned projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office & other PC applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret regulatory documentation
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently & within a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Education/Experience
    • Bachelors degree or Associates degree with 3 years relevant experience preferred (utility industry or regulatory compliance or audit experience).
    • Ability to understand technical processes and create compliance documents
    • Proficient with MS Office suite in particular Excel.
    • Experience using SharePoint
    • Prior experience in regulatory compliance preferred.
    • Experience with SCADA systems
