Job Description
QA/QC Personnel
- Oversee quality control activities during construction fabrication and commissioning phases
- Conduct daily inspections and document work progress deficiencies and corrective actions
- Maintain QA/QC documentation including ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) material traceability and weld mapping
- Perform weld inspections pipe fit-up verification and NDE coordination
- Verify pressure testing flange torquing and equipment alignment
- Monitor coating/painting activities including surface prep and DFT checks (if applicable)
- Coordinate with client representatives contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with project quality requirements
- Participate in pre-commissioning and turnover package preparation
As the ideal candidate you
- Minimum 2 years of QA/QC experience in midstream oil & gas compressor station construction and/or cryogenic plant construction
- Strong background in mechanical piping structural and electrical/instrumentation inspections
- Experience working with compressors cryogenic equipment piping skids process modules and rotating equipment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet deadlines
- Professional demeanor when interacting with client inspectors and project stakeholders
- Thorough understanding of applicable codes and standards including:
- ASME B31.3 B31.8
- API 1104
- AWS D1.1 (Structural Welding)
- API 6A / API 598 (Valves & Testing)
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs piping isometrics structural drawings and electrical schematics
- Vendor package inspection experience (compressor skids cryo units separator packages etc.)
- Proficient in visual weld inspections hydrostatic testing NDE coordination and punch list development/closeout
- Knowledge of cryogenic piping systems stainless and alloy materials and insulation inspection requirements
- Understanding of electrical/instrumentation installations grounding and ESD systems
You are physically able to
- Willingness to travel and work at remote field locations
- Must be able to climb lift and work in outdoor environments
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
