Job Description
To provide direct service to the classroom teacher in both instruction and non-instructional areas.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Assist the classroom teacher in the performance classroom duties.
- Provide small group instruction as directed by the teacher.
- Provide remedial instruction to identified students.
- Assist in the administration and monitoring of the standardized tests.
- Assist in the supervision of students as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Assist the classroom teacher and class on field trips and assemblies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to student conduct academic performance and staff relations.
- Accomplish other assigned duties as directed by the classroom teacher and/or building principal.
- Maintain a positive attitude with students parents and staff.
- Attend to hygiene/personal requirements of special needs students.
- Attend Professional Development as required by the District/Principal.
- Meet District Standards of Professional Attire.
- Perform other assignments consistent with the position as requested.
