FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (FVSU) a state and land-grant institution of the University System of Georgia invites applications for the position of Recruiter/Admissions Counselor.
Fort Valley State University the only 1890 land-grant university in Georgia is a comprehensive institution that provides an education to over 2800 students including graduate students. The university is located in the town of Fort Valley in Peach County the original site of the states peach industry. Its 1365-acre (5.52 km2) campus is Georgias second-largest public university in area.

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the recruitment and admission of future students to the University through in-person and virtual presentations community events telephone and e-mail communication.

The Associate Director of Admissions Marketing controls and assigns work for this position as needed.
GUiDELINES
Guidelines include the University System of Georgia Academic and Student Affairs Handbook the Board of Regents Policy Manual the FVSU academic catalog and Admissions Office policies and procedures. These guidelines require judgment selection and interpretation in application. This position develops department guidelines.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK
The work consists of varied duties in directing the universitys admissions functions. The variety of tasks to be managed contributes to the complexity of the position.
The purpose of this position is to market the university to prospective students living in Metro Atlanta and other important territories. Success in this position contributes to the success of university enrollment goals.
