Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef with a strong background in cake-making and a variety of pastry techniques. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented artistic and comfortable working independently or within a team to produce consistent high-quality desserts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design bake and decorate cakes for weddings birthdays and special events
- Prepare a variety of pastries tarts cookies plated desserts and breakfast items
- Develop seasonal and event-specific dessert menus
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are followed
- Collaborate with the culinary team to meet event timelines and expectations
- Manage pastry inventory and communicate ordering needs
Qualifications:
- 2 years experience as a pastry chef or baker with cake-decorating skills
- Proficient in fondant buttercream piping and tiered cake assembly
- Knowledge of French-style and modern pastries a plus
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Passion for pastry arts and a high attention to detail
- Culinary degree or certification preferred but not required
