Job brief
Out client is a dynamic hospitality company operating multiple locations in Honolulu. They are seeking some Kitchen Staff(Line Cook or Prep Cook) positions for their restaurants and cafe for smooth operations and delivering high-quality culinary and guest experiences.
This role will be responsible for kitchen work assisting chefs with food preparation cooking plating and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks (e.g. washing cut/chopping portioning cooking plating)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen including dishwashing and sanitizing
- Ensure proper food storage according to safety guidelines
- Manage kitchen waste and recycling responsibly
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Help receive and organize deliveries of food and supplies
- Occasionally assist with food service during peak hours
Requirements
- Educational requirement :at least highschool.
- Years of Experience :not required (except one of our fancy dining position)
- Language : Communication level of English(Interview will be conducted in English) Reading and basic conversational. As long as you can understand directions given by management and can read tickets recipes rules etc.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs
- They will most likely need to be standing for most of their shift so stand for long periods.
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays -The scheduling is different per restaurant but generally no one has a set schedule. We are generally open on all weekends and holidays.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices - it would be nice but as long as they can and are willing to learn we can teach them.
- open-minded positive people who can work in a team environment and are willing to learn and grow. The kitchen teams are small and the ability to get a long and communicate with each other is very important.
