JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE:
The Operations Superintendent (OS) primary responsibility is to monitor field efforts on assigned projects is responsible for overseeing field assignments provides design support to PreConstruction along with operational support for Project Management and service. The OS will provide leadership and guidance to Beacons field staff with the purpose of setting expectations meeting schedules elevating efficiency levels and maintaining budget expectations.
The OS will oversee field personnel efforts for all ongoing projects and lead quality assurance final commissioning and client training of Structured Cable and Healthcare projects as assigned.It is OS responsibility to protect and promote Beacon Communications interests in all matters and to do whatever is reasonably necessary to discharge his or her duties and responsibilities.
The OS will report to the Regional General Manager and will work with Project Managers and the operations coordinator to define the weekly schedule based on project priorities and identify change order opportunities. It will be expected that OSs interface with the assigned project teams and clients throughout the complete lifecycle of projects including the QC and commissioning process. An Operations Superintendent shall be responsible for all aspects of project implementation up to and including field implementation strategy schedule budget support QC completing commissioning QC checklists review redlines CAD documentation for as-built drawing communicating punch-lists to the Project Manager and leading correction efforts will be responsible for directing field testing and documentation escalating and resolving issues with equipment and programs. The OS shall oversee system programming or will work with an appointed Field Engineer or TS Programmer to help define system control standards and test procedures.
This position will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with field staff managers customers and partners from first contact and throughout the lifecycle the projects/service agreements.
ABILITIES:

4. Work with client support departments and company account representatives to provide clients with resolution options.
5. Interface with manufacturers developers engineers and project managers to provide resolutions for highly complex systems.
6. Be available to provide troubleshooting support for operations and service staff in time of technical need.
7. Be available to support routine maintenance and problem diagnosis for all Beacon systems and provide technical direction to customers regarding operational issues general maintenance and industry best practices.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- The OS can be expected to spend over 50% of their time in the field directing
operations.
- This is a client facing role the OS will be expected to fulfill site meeting requirements as necessary and interact with contractors and end users.
- The OS must possess a minimum 5 years of industry specific experience within the area of solutions expertise.
- Must be capable of engaging technical discussions in effort to achieve the best technical solutions for our customers both internally and externally.
- Must be willing to participate in continuing education for your area of expertise for continuing industry specific education.
Product Specific Qualifications:
Candidate must complete all training requirements for this position within an agreed upon timeframe.
Must have knowledge of or complete training for the design and implementation of multiple Low Voltage Systems including (but not limited to):
1. Copper Cabling Solutions
2. Optical Fiber Cabling Solutions
3. BICSI Installation Standards
4. Local Codes and Standards for Communications
5. CommScope Certification
6. Panduit Certification
7. Belden Certification
8. Rauland R5 Installation Certification
9. Midmark RTLS Installation Certification
10. Centrak RTLS
11. Securitas HUGS Infant Protection
12. HID TotGuard Infant Protection
Travel: It is expected that this position will require a moderate amount of travel (25% 40%) as needed.

4. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word Excel Access

6. Ability to demonstrate planning organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful
completion of a project by a specific due date and budgets.
7. Valid and current drivers license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
1. The work environment will be a mix of customer sites office admin and travel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Requires prolonged sitting standing some bending stooping and stretching. Requires manual
dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input.
2. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds.
3. Must maintain a clear background check to satisfy customer jobsite badging requirements.
4. Must be willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite
badging.
5. Consistent reliable and Timely Attendance
6. Maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol.
7. 25-40% travel requirement as needed.
