Job Title: Floor Lead Outbound

Location: Narsapura (Kolar) and Hoskote
Experience: 2-5 years in warehousing & logistics
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor/Manager

Job Summary:

The Floor Lead Outbound is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily outbound warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient execution of order fulfilment tasks including data entry picking packing and shipping preparation. The role involves leading a team of floor associates managing workflow on the warehouse floor ensuring accuracy productivity and quality standards and acting as a key point of communication between warehouse staff and management. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in logistics or warehousing operations with strong organizational and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise outbound floor operations including picking packing labelling and data entry activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
  • Coordinate daily work plans and assignments for the floor team to meet production schedules and customer shipment deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate data entry related to order processing shipment documentation and inventory movement using warehouse management systems (WMS) or other relevant software.
  • Oversee the preparation verification and completion of outbound orders ensuring all items are correctly picked packed wrapped and labelled according to customer and company standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy in the outbound area; report discrepancies or damages promptly to inventory control teams for resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with inbound inventory control and returns teams to optimize labor utilization and warehouse space.
  • Enforce adherence to safety guidelines company policies and quality standards on the warehouse floor.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new floor staff to ensure familiarity with operational procedures and safety practices.
  • Track and report daily metrics such as order volumes productivity quality issues and labor utilization to warehouse management.
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories as needed to help maintain stock accuracy.
  • Maintain communication with site management and stakeholders regarding operational status issues and resource needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations preferably in outbound or fulfilment roles.
  • Prior experience supervising or leading a team in a warehouse setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations such as picking packing shipping and data entry.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) inventory control software and basic computer skills for data entry.
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents bills of lading (BOL) and inventory reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfilment.
  • Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and a commitment to enforcing safety compliance.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts or extended hours as required to meet operational demands.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with RF scanning devices barcode technology and related warehouse automation tools.
  • Familiarity with logistics/Supply Chain processes and terminology.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Prior exposure to 3PL warehouse environments or multi-client logistics operations.
