Early Childhood Educator
The Coldwater School is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the position of Early Childhood Educator.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Nlekepmx language and the Coldwater Community
- Experience with formative assessment and reporting
- Valid Early Childhood Educator License to Practice (B.C.)
- Current Childcare First Aid certification
- Clear and up-to-date Criminal Record Check
- Three professional character references
- Solid understanding of licensing regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A mature responsible and professional approach to your work
- WHMIS Certificate and FoodSafe Certificate
- This position is open to all applicants; Coldwater Indian Band members may receive priority.
- Have classroom teaching experience
- Have experience delivering the Aboriginal Head Start Program and work with HeadStart Team
- Have Aboriginal ancestry (as per Special Program with the BC Human Rights Tribunal)
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Reliable form of transportation
