Job Description
What we are looking for
SCS is a national engineering and construction company seeking corporate counsel. The corporate counsel will report to the General Counsel and work with a team of lawyers. The candidate will be a seasoned attorney which is proactive collaborative and provide creative solutions in a dynamic environment. The candidate will have a broad base of experience and may be asked to handle contract drafting review and negotiation litigation management dispute resolution multi-state licensing and other corporate and employment law matters. The role is a hybrid role in our Reston VA office.

You will handle contract drafting review and negotiation litigation management dispute resolution multi-state licensing and other corporate and employment law matters.
Qualifications
- Law degree from ABA accredited law school and membership in good standing of any state bar required; State Bar of Virginia is preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in the practice of law including private practice and in-house experience. Litigation management experience desired.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering and construction contracts including significant experience reviewing analyzing and negotiating contracts.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts including outside non-attorney team members attorneys senior management and business associates.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects prioritize and meet deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product.
