Job Description
About the Opportunity:
A respected and growing engineering firm with a team of 13 professionals is seeking a Staff Engineer with strong experience in building design and Revit modeling. Known as a regional competitor the firm offers a collaborative fast-paced environment with long-term development opportunities and a notably low cost of living in the area. This is a fully on-site position with exposure to a variety of structural project types.
Responsibilities:
Lead structural analysis and design for low- to mid-rise commercial institutional residential and light-industrial buildings
Produce and model construction documents using Revit (BIM) and CAD
Interface Revit models with engineering software (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer)
Coordinate with other disciplines and manage design/modeling changes
Adhere to company BIM standards and development protocols
Communicate directly with clients during all phases of design and construction
Participate in site visits and support construction coordination as needed
Must-Haves:
4-year degree in Engineering (Bachelors minimum)
6 years of relevant structural engineering experience
Proficiency in CAD Revit (BIM) and structural analysis software
Experience with low- to mid-rise buildings
Willingness to work onsite 5 days a week
Open to a daily commute of up to 1 hour
Nice-to-Haves:
Masters degree in Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license
Local to Pittsburgh or open to relocation
Background in a small- to mid-sized firm
Strong communication and collaboration skills
