Summary
Under the direction of the Manager of Operations the Construction Crew Supervisor provides oversight and management of construction position is responsible for overseeing and leading all critical infrastructure projects and activities across the service territory. Oversight responsibilities of ensuring quality and budget control safety compliance project timelines and overall successful execution of construction projects as assigned are essential in this role.
Principal Duties - Oversee the construction of primary and secondary distribution systems.
- Coordinate special projects as needed.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of distribution equipment.
- Facilitate inter-departmental communication and serve as a liaison between operations engineering finance and contractors for all assigned projects.
- Coordinate materials logistics scheduling and accurate detailed documentation of construction projects.
- Accurately provide project updates timelines and expenses.
- Ensure the adherence to all regulations laws rules organizational policies and procedures and safety compliance.
- Provide technical input that establishes priorities with project scheduling budget control and work plan development.
- Assist with training of operations personnel.
- Make frequent crew visits and checks to ensure quality assurance safety and protocols are being followed.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties in this job classification.
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent commiserate with tenyears experience in the electrical utility industry. Bachelors degree in construction engineering project management or similar area of relevant study preferred.
- Ten yearsconstruction and/or project management experience required. One-year supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Current Commercial Drivers License with clean driving record and DOT Medical Card.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of electrical construction repair maintenance and power transmission/distribution required.
- Ability to proficiently utilize all Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication and critical thinking skills are required.
- Organizational and prioritizationskills as well as attention to detail are required.
