Role Overview
Were looking for aProduct Engineerto join ourPerceptionteam where youll help build easy-to-use and efficient tools that support the development of cutting-edge AI systems like those for generative AI and computer vision. Youll work on both the frontend and backend creating UI components and reliable systems that help our customers train better AI models.
As a product-minded engineer youll work directly with stakeholders to bring ideas to life build technical solutions from conception to production that drive business impact and make sure our platform runs innovate and push technological boundaries in order to meet the rapidly evolving needs of our customers helping them create AI models that can work with multi-modal data.
Your Impact
- Support AI developmentby building interactive and reliable tools that help train AI models using various types of data including text images audio and video.
- Build new featuresby working with a cross-functional team to create test and improve the tools our customers use every day.
- Solve technical challengesby thinking through complex and ambiguous problems and coming up with practical effective solutions.
- Help customers succeedby assisting our support team in resolving issues and improving the overall user experience.
- Keep systems running smoothlyby participating in on-call rotations to monitor and fix any issues that arise.
- Make the team betterby suggesting and implementing ways to improve how we work and build software.
- Share your knowledgeby writing and reviewing technical documentation to help the team and future developers.
What You Bring
- 2 years of experienceas a full-stack engineer working on both frontend user interfaces and backend systems.
- Strong skills inTypeScript and GraphQL and familiarity withPython Kubernetes and Google Cloudtools like MySQL Spanner GCS and PubSub.
- 2 years of experienceusing frontend frameworks likeReact/Redux and the ability to turn designs into interactive responsive web pages.
- Aproactive attitude taking ownership of your work and looking for ways to make the product and team better.
- Comfort working in afast-paced agile environment where priorities can shift and quick problem-solving is key.
- A focus onwriting clean well-tested code and delivering your work on time.
Bonus Points
- Experience building tools forAI applications like evaluating large language models or monitoring AI performance.
- Knowledge ofnatural language processing (NLP)techniques.
