How youll impact our mission:
The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is hiring a part-time Development Associate to provide exceptional support to donors and community members process contributions with care and accuracy and help advance our mission to make a difference for animals and the people who love them. This role is based at the Door County Campus but may occasionally support other campuses and reports to Director of Data and Annual Fund. Key accountabilities:
- Enter donations including mail store gifts and supporting other campuses with in-kind entry as needed.
- Provide general development support of community members and donors via phone calls email and walk-in inquiries.
- Cultivate and steward donors and foster a culture of philanthropy.
- Support data team with database hygiene projects.
- Manage local donation canister program.
- Manage and oversee local events including but not limited to holiday open house and rummage sale.
Qualifications:
- Database experience preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Excel and Word with the interest and ability to quickly learn new technologies and use them to enhance productivity and support daily tasks.
- Collaborative approach to building positive respectful relationships with clients colleagues and stakeholders that successfully supports the work.
- Ability to complete work with high attention to detail with little supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated alignment with our mission people-centered philosophy and organizational values of compassion respect and kindness; innovation; professionalism; equity; and positive approach.
- Must be able to navigate emotional aspects of animal welfare work.
- Able to successfully meet the physical demands of the job which include occasional stooping kneeling crouching crawling standing walking pulling lifting grasping and repetitive motions and ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
