Job Description

FACILITIES HANDYMAN

Description

Were looking for a Handyman to join our TEAM here at Nimnicht Chevrolet. We are a family-owned business that has been in business for 84 years!

The Handyman does general maintenance and repairs. Plumbing repairs- Repairing leaks fixing faucets unclogging drains and replacing damaged pipes. Electrical repairs- Replacing outlets and switches installing light fixtures and troubleshooting minor electrical problems. Carpentry Building and repairing decks fences and furniture; installing shelves and cabinets. Painting Preparing surfaces applying paint and patching drywall. Appliance repair Troubleshooting and fixing common appliance issues. Furniture Putting together furniture and other items. General Repairs Fixing doors windows and other fixtures around the property.

Requirements:

Proficient in using a variety of tools for different tasks.

Problem Solving; Identifying the root cause of a problem and finding a suitable solution is crucial.

Effectively Communicating to understand and provide updates on work progress is essential.

Adhering to Safety regulations and using tools and equipment safely is a top priority.

Maintaining a clean and organized work area as well as keeping track of tools and materials is important.

Providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships.

Having a basic understanding of plumbing electrical and HVAC systems is required.

Qualifications:

Previous job experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must have a valid drivers license

Good communication skills
